Schulte Restaurant Group finalizes purchase of Joella’s Hot Chicken
Schulte Restaurant Group announced today that they have finalized the purchase of Joella’s Hot Chicken. The sale marks the first multi-unit restaurant purchase for the Louisville based group. All Joella’s restaurant locations will remain open and operating as usual, customers will continue to enjoy the same great food and service that they have come to expect from this Louisville brand.
“Today's sale represents an important step in positioning both Schulte Restaurant Group and Joella’s for continued growth and success," said Darryl Schulte, Chairman and CEO of Schulte Companies. Ray Schulte, President of Schulte Restaurant Group (a division of Schulte Companies), said that he is "excited about acquiring this well-known and dynamic brand. We look forward to delivering great food to the many valued customers of Joella’s, and growing the number of Joella’s Hot Chicken locations.”
When asked about any upcoming changes, it was revealed that Joella’s will expand the operating hours of the Kentucky locations to include Monday. This change is not expected until the New Year and is already in effect for the Indianapolis location. Additionally, the group has begun exploring additional markets in which they could develop Joella’s locations.
“Hot Chicken is in demand” said Ray Schulte, “we intend to serve up the best around”.
